Preparation for the expert examination
There are various reference books and textbooks available on the market that are intended to prepare you for the examination of professional competence according to § 34a GewO. As a rule, you should use tried and tested works that have been used by many exam candidates before you to successfully prepare for the exam. You should be careful with providers who offer their own learning material (e.g. via eBay). On the one hand, there is no guarantee that you will really be taught the correct material for the subject matter in full and without errors, and on the other hand, the course material is often wildly copied material from other authors that is used illegally. It is best to get your learning material from your local bookshop, from well-known online booksellers, directly from the publisher’s online shop or via the links listed below.

The book offers a catalogue of questions and answers for the examination and is a good supplement to the aforementioned book.
The questions have been revised again in the latest edition and adapted to the current examinations.

These are encyclopaedias for instruction and expert knowledge examination according to § 34a GewO as well as for the weapons expert knowledge examination according to § 7 WaffG.

(Russian, Romanian, Turkish,…) and serve as translation aids for examination candidates coming from abroad.
